Fear of Death ~ Abhinivesha
Davidji teaches that fear of death is one of the “Klesha” or poisons. Abhinivesha is Fear of Death. He explains almost every fear, after being distilled through all of the various lenses, comes down to a fear of death and knowing that our lives will end. We overcome this by celebrating the present moment, and starting a gratitude practice so that we can see all of the abundance and prosperity that exists around us at every single moment.
At the end of the movie ,“Braveheart”, Mel Gibson playing William Wallace is confronted by his adversary just before his death. In response to the adversary, he makes the following statement:
Every man dies, however, not every man really lives!
Some other thoughts:
Every man’s life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another. ~ Ernest Hemingway
The real question is, is there life before death? ~ Alan Cohen
At the end of life,
what really matters is not what we bought, but what we built;
not what we got, but what we shared;
not our competence, but our character;
and not our success, but our significance.
Live a life that matters.
Live a life of love. ~ Unknown ~
