Stop Playing Small Ball

“Do not feel lonely, the entire universe is inside you. Stop acting so small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion. Set your life on fire”  Rumi

Often davidji , my meditation teacher, challenges us to “stop playing small ball”.  Challenge yourself to move out of your confront zone and make your dreams manifest. This month my theme is “stop playing small ball”.

Alan Cohen in his book “The Mystical Messiah” discuss this concept.

“God has invested in every person unique and precious gifts…

The question is, what are you doing with the talents you have been given? Are you expressing them plentifully and watching them bear fruit and multiply? Or are you hiding them in fear of exposing yourself, being judged, or failing? Have you allowed hesitation or a sense of unworthiness to eclipse the blessings available to you and those you influence?

Likewise, talents grow when you put them to use, and they atrophy when you deny them. “Use it or lose it” applies to talents…

You were born to deliver certain blessings to humanity. When you give them, you experience deep soul fulfillment and you make the world a better place. When you withhold your talents, your life feels empty and you wonder what you are doing here. The antidote to depression, boredom, and confusion is authentic self-expression.”
